WHY ADD BROCCOLI SPROUT POWDER?
Broccoli sprout powder is from the sprouted broccoli seeds that are harvested after 3-5 days. These small sprouts are high in glucoraphanin which is the precursor to the compound sulforaphane that are 10 -100x higher than the mature broccoli (Triska J et al 2021).
Sulforaphane activates the NRF2 pathway which is the name for the recently discovered master regulator of the antioxidant element in the body. Certain nutrients such as sulforaphane triggers the Nrf2 release, which then starts a cascade of effects, including antioxidant release, detoxification, formation of new mitochondria, modulation of glutathione and more.
