Zen is a unique formulation containing a novel organic saffron extract (Safr’Inside), alongside L-theanine, vitamin B6 (in the bioactive P5P form) and magnesium citrate, which is a form of magnesium that is easily and effectively absorbed into the body.

Safr’Inside is an organic saffron stigma extract from the beautiful crocus plant (Crocus sativus L., Iridaceae) we associate with sunny Spring time. Saffron extracts have been used traditionally since the Middle Ages for cooking (so is widely considered a safe nutrient), as well as its supportive effects on the body and mind. Safr’Inside extract has been researched in human adult studies to investigate its effects on balancing the stress hormone cortisol, emotional balance and ability to maintain a positive mood.

However, not all saffron extracts have the required potency due to using poor quality crocus plants and/or harsh extraction techniques. At Nutrigold we only use the best nutrients including Safr’Inside, which is grown organically in the traditional saffron country of Iran (which first started growing saffron over 3,000 years ago) and extracted using the gentle Tech’care extraction technique to preserve the active constituents to their highest levels.

Along with the Safr’Inside extract, Nutrigold’s Zen formulation also includes other supportive nutrients including L-theanine, a nutrient associated with the calming effects of drinking tea, alongside vitamin B6 and magnesium, which contribute to normal psychological function, normal function of the nervous system and reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
