Did you know that one in 12 women between the ages of 19 and 39 years are deficient in Vitamin B12 despite consuming the RDA of 1.5mcg daily?[1] Coupled to this is Vitamin B12 deficiency in other populations including 10% of people over the age of 75 and 11% of those people (of any age) following a vegan diet.

Folate deficiency is also believed to be rife in the population, partly through low intake of dietary sources coupled with genetic polymorphisms of the enzymes required to form active folate for the cells to utilise.

Both Vitamin B12 and the reduced form of folate are integral nutrients in the methylation cycle, which underpins many areas of cell function including metabolism and synthesis of neurotransmitters and hormones, detoxification and DNA repair. Methylation deficiencies have been identified to have a role in many symptoms including tiredness, fatigue and muscle pain, as well as named diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis and thyroid disorders.[2]

This can be a seemingly complex areas for practitioners so join Elisabeth for this 60 minute webinar to find out everything you need to know about Nutrigold’s NEW sublingual Vitamin B12 and Folate (5-MTHF) products.

Elisabeth will discuss the different forms of Vitamin B12 and folate and which are the best ones to utilise to optimise levels of these vital nutrients. There will also be discussion about testing for these vitamins and routes of administration to ensure the best bioavailability.

There will be plenty of time for you to ask Elisabeth questions about these important B vitamins products and their clinical application within the scope of a functional nutrition programme. The outcome of this webinar is intended to leave you confident in choosing the right B vitamins formulations for your clients.
