Dental & Oral Nutrients

New research suggests associations between chronic oral infections (periodontal disease) and heart and lung diseases, stroke, as well as low birth-weight and premature births. The link between periodontal disease and diabetes has long been established. The role of good nutrition, oral hygiene and dental care are well understood to reduce, manage and avoid periodontal disease. The use of key micronutrients, including CoQ10 and Aloe Vera, to assist with oral health, live native bacteria (probiotics) to limit or prevent bacterial infections and special sugars to limit bacterial adherence are all important and valid mechanisms for optimising oral and dental health.
